The European Space Agency reveled that they know the reasons caused crash to its Schiaparelli Lander on the surface of Mars. The agency pointed out that spacecraft was moving towards the surface of Mars efficiently, but unfortunately it forgot to find the actual ground of Mars. The sensors of the spacecraft used to determine the altitude of aircraft were failed suddenly just before landing. The aircraft assumed that surface of Mars has arrived and started its landing process by activating the on-ground sensors of the vessel. The original factors behind the cause of landing failure are still under investigation and it may not be resolved in the current year. Some officials believe that the inertial measurement unit of Schiaparelli was allegedly over-exhausted for a couple of seconds.
So, it sent message to the system that ground is still below and the Lander executed its parachute, heat shield was ejected and started its braking thrusters in a combination. Point to be noted that the spacecraft was still 2.3 miles above from the surface of Mars during this landing operation. This attempt was 2nd time that Europe has tried to land a spacecraft on the surface of Mars, but something went wrong at last seconds. Beagle 2 was successfully reached on the Mars in 2003, but it was made unsuccessful attempt to deploy power transmissions solar panels. The lost spacecraft was found in 2015 at the time when a spacecraft of NASA delivered captured images of the supposed landing location. But, European Space Agency isn’t too worried and they will launch their supposed up-coming mission in 2020.
