Did Russian President Say “To Forgive The Terrorists Is Up To God, But To Send Them To Him Is Up To Me”
A quote improperly accredited to Russian President Vladimir Putin started circulation on social media websites in the mid November 2015. A news anchor of Russian Today Remi Maalouf discovered the quote of Facebook and it was tweeted among more than 13,000 followers. It was then picked up by a number of social media and news websites such as Bar Stool Sports and Fox Nation. The statement described that ‘I know that Putin is not considered a Good Guy, but what about his words ‘to forgive terrorists is up to God but to send them to Him is up to Me’. He is a world leader but he looks like a movie character.
It is important that the leaders from all around the world are tearful and coming together to show unity against terrorism and saying that terrorists would not defeat us. Not only Putin, but all the leaders condemned the mass terrorist activities in Paris and they are threatening the terrorists and their organizations. Vladimir Putin said that Russia will capture or eliminate terrorists and a massive hell is ready for terrorists. It is considered that Facebook would not be a perfect place to publish original quotes. Any of the major news or social media websites reported the quotes before the tweet of Maalouf. A Russian news anchor also apologized about improperly accredited spreading quotes of Putin on 18th November 2015. Point to be noted that the words ‘to forgive the terrorists is up to God, but to send them is up to me’ are circulating for several years and we could not find the exact target of this news source.
