President Trump will not leave Office gracefully if Loses his Re-election: Bolton
US President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser John Bolton has warned that the president will not leave gracefully if he loses in his re-election bid against Joe Biden. He delivered his words in a new interview and said, “Whether he carries it to the extreme, I don’t think we know”. Point to be noted that Bolton served as national security adviser from April 2018 to September 2019. He informed CNN’s Jake Tapper that another 4 years of a Trump presidency could cause irreparable injury to the nation. However, he suggested the president was preparing to contest the results of the November vote. He responded when asked about should Biden secure a victory.
Bolton replied and said, “Let’s be clear. Trump will not leave graciously if he loses. He will not leave graciously”. He also said the recent comments and misleading comments from President Trump about mail-in voter fraud were very troubling. Bolton added, “Whether he carries it to the extreme, I don’t think we know”. It is noteworthy that Bolton is a longtime conservative who has worked in previous administrations. He informed CNN that he is not looking to vote for Trump or Biden. He said it is very troubling that President has said, “I can’t lose unless there’s a fraud”. Biden responded and said, “Of course, he can lose in an honest election. And I think this is really on the leadership of the Republican Party, elected officials, and private citizens”.
The former national security adviser said, “If it is clear what the outcome is, it is up to Republicans, not Democrats, to say, this is on us. He has to go”. Last month, President Trump delivered his words in a press briefing, supposedly referring to mail-in ballots. He said, “You know that I’ve been complaining very strongly about the ballots and the ballots are a disaster”. Biden was asked whether or not he had faith in top Republicans to stand up to the president were he to refute a potential electoral defeat. He said, “I’ve been in touch with a lot of Republican elected officials and a lot of others over the past several months, I think they’re ready for this moment”.
