Police Discovered Spy-Cameras Inside Coat-Hooks in Restrooms and Hotel Rooms
A website “AWM” published a news story on 3rd June 2016 and reported that spy cameras were being installed in hotel rooms. A coat-hook in a public restroom and in a hotel wasn’t a red flag for most of the people. Most of us have seen them on the back side of the doors & on the walls. But, now some information pointed out the horrifying situation. These coat-hooks were originally carrying some hidden elements. Most of those coat-hooks were originally High-Tech cameras. At least three locations were found with hidden cameras in coat-hooks mounted on the walls in the restrooms of women. Those 3 locations were discovered at Beach Anne on 26th May and 2nd camera was found in the Circle K Store at 99.8 mile marker of U.S Highway. Third camera was found on 28th May at Harry Harris Park in the bathroom for women.
The mounted devices within coat-hooks in all three locations were specific to the devices available at online stores and these cameras were sold by many online stores as devices for home security purposes. It is also possible that these types of coat-hooks or similar items can be installed in hotel rooms by hunters. It is important that only a few number of hotels were found involved in spy-cameras since the availability of these types of devices. The news story described by website AWM that many hotels were involved in mounting these cameras was considered false. A post was published on 31st May 2016 on Facebook by the Office of the Monroe County Sheriff in Key West. This post indicated that Key West Police mentioned that hidden cameras have been found in coat-hooks at 3 separate locations in the restrooms of women in the month of May 2016. The police confirmed that they didn’t find cameras in the rooms of hotels.
