Most People don’t consider Metaverse Fantasy for Many Reasons
CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg couldn’t hold a break as most people said they don’t need to obtain the metaverse. The head of devices at Amazon, David Limp, issued a statement this week. He said he doesn’t need to live in a virtual environment for a few hours a day. Last month, Limp described similar aspects during an interview.
Limp has spent most of his time supporting his vision of environment computing. Does this concept describe the computer as everywhere as he was found to perform over the last year with significant change? The limp was also asked what he was observing about the metaverse. He was speaking at the Future of Everything Festival of The Wall Street Journal.
Expected Place-shifting in the Near Future
Amazon’s head said he does believe that there are supposedly bringing some forms of place-shifting in the near future. He has dedicated himself to devices for enhancement and release. Limp said it is difficult to communicate with his kids with current technology such as wireless earbuds within the same house. He needs to keep working on technologies in bringing people’s heads up.
Limp wants to allow them to enjoy the real world and provide a more attractive and perfect communication experience. He said the term metaverse was considered more difficult to pin down. However, he received over 200 different answers when he asked people about their approach to the metaverse. He said there wasn’t a common definition.
People need VR instead of AR experience
It clearly indicates that different people consider different things about metaverse. However, the CEO of Meta has described the meanings of the metaverse. He was found on long vision and short on specific details but said AR glasses could perform a major role. Limp also mentioned AR glasses and said they are much better than VR as people can experience the real world.
Moreover, Limp said he doesn’t like it if it entirely fixes everyone and diverts them from here. He isn’t the only one found criticizing the proposed future of Meta. Snap CEO said last month that something is much similar to how there isn’t any specific definition of the metaverse. He said the major focus of the company is on the real world to allow people to spend their time together.
Why don’t people need to spend time in VR?
The former head of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aimé said Facebook isn’t an inventive company. He also suggested that people will not need to spend their entire entertainment time in VR. He believes in the vision that was expressed and he thinks he isn’t a believer. Obviously, just due to a large number of people in the tech industry making fun that doesn’t attract more people.
Fils-Aimé said it is undoubtedly going to fail. The former CEO of Microsoft Steve Ballmer was outraged about its price tag and shortage of keyboards after the first iPhone announcement. However, he also suggested that there is a major difference between mentioning that any product is extraordinary for one or another reason. He also said that it is basically incompatible with the approach because people need to live their real lives. Moreover, it is very hard to suggest who will reach the right place.
