A disreputable website “The Gateway Pundit” published an article on 6^th January 2017, just after few hours after a number of people were killed by a gunman at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood airport. The published article claimed that CNN presented an altered photograph of alleged shooter Esteban Santiago by making his skin appearance lighter. The website “Gateway Pundit” didn’t publish any proof regarding this changed photograph appeared on CNN. A YouTube page “Trump Mafia” also posted a similar claims and initiated a number of debates on social media network. Point to be noted that CNN has published a number of videos regarding the shooting incident, but we were unable to find any record of photograph airing on the CNN network.

A website “Daily Beast” also reported that this alleged photograph never appeared on CNN. Moreover, the man in this alleged photograph is not the shooter Esteban Santiago and it doesn’t related to Florida shooting incident took place on 6^th January 2017. It is important that a different man with the same name was registered as a sex criminal in Florida. The “CBS News” published a picture of original shooter. This image clearly shows the difference of a man, but his name was same as Esteban Santiago. We were also unable to find the perfect evidence whether the NBS changed the original skin of suspect in the displayed photograph.
