Was Chief Strategist of White House Steve Bannon Charged for Domestic Violence?
Santa Monica police were called at the home of Steve Bannon on the report of domestic violence on the New Year’s Day in 1996. The reports indicated that Bannon was charged with 3 misbehavior counts regarding the incident, but the case was finally dismissed due to his wife Mary Louise Piccard didn’t appear for court trial. The reports indicated that Bannon got violent physically with Piccard at the start of their relationship. Police indicated that on 1st January 1996, police officer of Santa Monica responded to a hang-up call at 911 and Bannon’s wife Piccard answered the door in tears. It was said that Bannon was sleeping on sofa on New Year’s Night. When Piccard asked to use a credit card for grocery shopping, he became upset with Piccard, but reports indicated that she was asking a divorce.
Piccard also said that she ran back into the house and tried to call 911, but Bannon pulled the telephone wires and threw it across the room and left the home. Bannon was charged with misbehavior witness threats, domestic violence and distress injury. It is important that case was dismissed after unavailability of Piccard for court trial, but finally the couple divorced. Now, Bannon has been selected on 13th November 2016 by the new U.S President Donald Trump. He will serve as Trump’s Chief White House Strategist. After the death of Andrew Breitbart (founder of Breitbart) in 2012, Bannon took charge of Breitbart. Donald Trump contacted him in August 2016 to head his campaign for the U.S Presidential Election 2016. We haven’t yet received any comment from Steve Bannon.
