2 days after the Dallas shootings resulted killing of five police officers on 7th July 2016, a number of websites published various posts reporting that “Chick-fil-A” had functioning as “selecting a side” in both terms, tragedy and BLM (Black Lives Matter) protests against police violence & wildness. The Chick-fil-A introduced a claim that “back the blue” shirts especially in response to the July 2016 events which were easily proved as untrue. The pro-law enforcement website “PoliceOne” managed the display of the specific shirts in the month of November 2015 and just one location was mentioned in the month of October 2015. The post also linked to a photograph of a child published on Facebook and the child was wearing a “back the blue” shirt. It was clearly unrelated to Chick-fil-A.

The “Independent Journal” reported the employees at the College Park of Chick-fil-A wore “back the Blue” shirts in order to show their support for law enforcement agencies. The location manager said that “we are supporting our heroes doing their jobs to protect us”. When we tried to find about authenticity of this news, we found that the employees at a high school in Texas created their own “back the blue” shirts in the year 2015. But, it is not true that Chick-fil-A didn’t voice for the support of any movement. The “back the blue” should not be considered as “a Bomb on Back Lives Matters”. These types of shirts were not created or distributed from any franchise and these shirts were not dedicated to the incident took place in the month of July 2016.
