Six Flags Is Closing One Or More Of Their Theme Parks To Host “Muslim Family Day”

In the month of September and October 2015, news circulated on a large number of social media sites regarding an event “Muslim Family Day”. This event is considered specifically for 11th October 2015 event of Six Flags in Georgian theme park. A large number of tweets and comments on Facebook are showing that most of the internet users are not familiar with the event of Muslim Family Day. According to the official website, the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) is the authority and started organizing the Muslim Family Day since 2000 across the United States. The ICNA conducted first event of Six Flags in September 2000 in New Jersey and this event made a major success in a short amount of time.

The severe incidents of 9/11 made a massive loss of large number of inoffensive lives and it also directly affected this event. The chief organizer of this event Tariq Ammanullah was also died in this incident because he was working on the 96th floor of World Trade Center at the time of incident. This major loss reflected a negative impact, but after 4 years, team again managed to conduct the event in 2004 and it was considered as a major event. The ICNA conducted and managed two events of Muslim Family Day at Six Flags theme parks. The first event arranged at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey on 14th September 2015 and the second event was conducted on 11th October 2015 as Muslim Family Day at Six Flags in Georgia, and these events are available on the park’s official website. It is also important that Six Flags theme parks have hosted ‘Muslim Family Day’ events.
