Uber/Waymo case Referred to DOJ for Investigation by the Judge William
It has been considered the latest and bad news for Uber that the judge presiding over its trade secrets lawsuit with Google self-governing car unit Waymo has asked U.S federal prosecutors in order to investigate the case. Bloomberg and Reuters have reported that the U.S District Judge William Alsup has ruled out that he is not getting a position on either or not charges are warranted. It has been considered the 2nd investigation into Uber along with an analysis into its Grey-balling scheme. He rejected the request of Uber at the same time in getting the cast to private settlement.
The company was choosing in keeping things in the public eye. The judge also granted partially to the request of Waymo for an exhortation. Now, this order is under seal, but the engineer Anthony Levandowski said at the middle of the case that he is rescuing himself from LiDAR-related work during the ongoing case. This technology has the ability to allow self-governing vehicles to monitor and analyze where they are going. This claim took by Waymo and in case if Uber has been planning to start over, it might cost the company several years of time.
