District School in Wisconsin Forced Transgender Students to Wear Wristbands
A website “Daily Beast” published an article on 20th July 2016 regarding a lawsuit filed in Wisconsin from the parents of a transgender boy. The lawsuit supposedly mentioned that transgender students were enforced to wear “Bright Green Wristbands” by their district school in order to identify them, especially for bathroom use. This article also added a link of the lawsuit and mentioned that this lawsuit was submitted on 19th July 2016. The lawsuit allegedly described that the district and its employees wrongly categorized the transgender students and forced them to wear the wristbands to monitor them at the time of using bathrooms.
The Facts portion of the lawsuit & item number 82 mentioned that the supposed implementation of wearing the Green Bracelets caused a significant fear and tension for the students. The district school initially didn’t provide any comment about the lawsuit, but an unspecified dated statement with a title “KUSD Responds to Lawsuit” mentioned that the district affirmed that “some of the described allegations are obviously false”. It was not specified by Kenosha Unified that which specific allegations are disputable in the lawsuit rather than mentioning that they didn’t force transgender students to wear wristbands. It is important that some rumors on the social media described about Pink Triangles, but any portion of the lawsuit didn’t mention about armbands or Pink Triangles.
