A rumor started circulation in the month of October 2016 by claiming that a student Andrew Spieles from James Madison University, Virginia had discovered a voter fraud by registering at least 19 dead people in order to cast their votes allegedly for Hillary Clinton. One of the published pictures was captured during an investigation took place in Virginia; there are various other claims and unofficial piece of information. The record of Daily News was dispatched by Richmond Times and the student newspaper “The Breeze” also reported that one student from JMU has admitted for allegedly registering 19 dead people for voting. The name of student hasn’t yet disclosed due to there is not any kind of charges were imposed on him.
The initial investigations are indicating that the suspect was working for an organization “Harrisonburg-VOTES” for the past 9 weeks when he supposedly submitted both appropriate and counterfeit voter registration forms. Point to be noted that the organization Harrisonburg-VOTES wasn’t involved in this case. The Breeze also mentioned that the student name will not be disclosed, but he will remain in the custody for further investigation and until imposing any charge against him. In the case if these dead people were registered originally with their names to vote for Hillary Clinton, but it hasn’t yet been verified. It is important that Harrisonburg-VOTES has deleted cached version of their web page and social media accounts.
